Stream is on a mission to bring financial wellbeing to all workers.

We partner with some of the world's most well-known employers, like Crate & Barrel, Driven Brands, General Electric, New Balance, Restaurant Brands International (RBI) and others, to give their teams access to fairer financial services. Over 3 million people track their shifts and earnings, start their first savings account, use budgeting tools, access financial education and choose when they want to get paid. All in one smartphone app.

Stream is unique: VC-backed and growing at scale-up pace, but with a social conscience. Some of the world's leading financial charities and impact funds were our founding investors.

You'd be joining a team of over 300 passionate, ambitious people across the UK, Europe and US, building a category-leading FinTech product with the mission to improve the lives of millions.

The Role

We're looking for an ambitious Lead Product Manager to build, launch and scale a unique lending product (Workplace Loans) in the US. This is an execution-first, operationally complex role at the heart of one of Stream's biggest US bets.

Workplace Loans is the product that will help millions of US workers access fairer, employer-backed credit. Getting it live and at scale means doing the hard, detailed work: navigating state-by-state lending licensing, landing rollouts with enterprise employer partners, driving loan origination volumes, and making sure every loan we issue is serviced well. As Lead PM, you'll own the end-to-end delivery of all of that.

You'll partner closely with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Sales and Client Success. You'll report into our Chief Credit Officer.

This is an individual contributor role today, but a high-ownership one. You'll be the person who makes Workplace Loans real in market.

What will you be doing?

Product Execution & Delivery (40%):

  • Drive the Workplace Loans roadmap from concept through to live product, and from launch to scale
  • Work day to day with Engineering and Design to ship end to end, owning the flows, copy, edge cases and the operational details that make a lending product trustworthy
  • Set and track the metrics that matter: originations, conversion, repayment performance, and member outcomes
  • Make sharp prioritisation calls grounded in evidence and the realities of running a regulated lending product

Partner & Client Enablement (25%):

  • Drive Workplace Loans adoption with enterprise employers in partnership with Sales and Client Success
  • Build the playbook for employer rollout, integration and ongoing partnership
  • Engage directly with employer customers (Crate & Barrel, GE, RBI, New Balance and others) to refine the product to fit how they operate

Originations & Servicing (20%):

  • Drive the levers that grow loan origination volumes responsibly
  • Partner with Risk, Operations and Collections to make sure loans are serviced effectively across the full lifecycle, including repayment, hardship and resolution
  • Build the feedback loops between servicing performance and product design, so what we learn from servicing improves what we ship next

Licensing & Regulatory Delivery (15%):

  • Drive Stream's state-by-state lending licensing program in partnership with Legal, Compliance and external counsel
  • Sequence states for entry based on volume, complexity and commercial opportunity
  • Keep product, operations and compliance requirements aligned as we add each new Job

What experience might you have? (But if you’re close… we'd still love to talk to you!)

  • 5+ years in product management, ideally with at least 2 years on consumer financial products, lending, credit or payments
  • A track record of driving consumer financial products from concept to live market at meaningful scale
  • Strong execution operator: you make complex, cross-functional programs move and you own the outcome end to end
  • Comfortable partnering closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk and Operations as core members of the product team, not as gatekeepers
  • Comfortable in front of enterprise clients and partners; you can land a product, not just build one
  • Strong quantitative and analytical instincts; you understand the metrics that matter for originations, conversion and loan performance, and let the data inform what you ship
  • Sharp commercial intuition; you understand the unit economics of a lending product, or are excited to learn fast
  • High-ownership, low-ego operator who navigates ambiguity and gets things done
  • Mission alignment: you care about fair access to credit for working people
  • SQL proficiency is a plus
  • Familiarity with Figma is a plus, but not required

Salary: From $180,000 to $230,000 base + Bonus, Equity & Benefits

Location: We operate a hybrid working policy; 3 days a week from our Arlington office.

What will we do for you?

  • 20 Days vacation in addition to federal holidays, as well as flexible time off allowances for any ad-hoc childcare/family/caring needs
  • 12 weeks paid Maternity Leave and 2 weeks paid Paternity Leave for employees with over 12 months service
  • Health, dental and vision benefits (a number of these benefits are paid in full for the employee)
  • We want to invest in you financially, so we have a 401K program

And of course, the best benefit of all, access to Stream!

At Stream we celebrate and support our differences. We know employing a team rich in diverse thoughts, experiences, and opinions allows our employees, our product and our community to flourish. Stream is an equal opportunity workplace. We are dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity/expression, or veteran status.
