The Opportunity: Own the Ecosystem
We are seeking a highly accomplished, hands-on, and results-driven Director of Partnerships & Alliances to take the reins of our UK Partnerships function and dramatically accelerate our path to becoming the world’s first public social impact company.
You will be the primary architect and leader responsible for unlocking the next phase of our growth by building a world-class, scalable partner ecosystem.
Your initial, critical mandate will be to establish and rapidly scale new, high-value alliances with global HCM, Payroll, and WFM platform leaders, specifically focusing on strategic gaps in our current pipeline: Sage, Oracle and SAP.
This is a critical commercial role. You will lead our partnership strategy, manage existing partner relationships, and drive significant commercial outcomes, driving both pipeline growth and app usage amongst users.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alliance & Execution (The Build):
- Define, refine, and execute Stream’s UK partnership strategy, prioritising high-impact partner profiles within the HCM, WFM, Payroll, and HRIS technology landscapes to accelerate new customer acquisition and app engagement.
- Identify, engage, and close new, major strategic alliances with key target platforms, including Sage, Oracle, and SAP, to secure deep integration and distribution agreements.
- Establish, nurture, and expand relationships with senior stakeholders (C-suite, VPs, Heads of Department) within current and prospective strategic partners like Workday, SAP, ADP, MHR, UKG, and the mandated targets.
- Develop and execute strategic plays, including embedded solutions and consumer-focused partnerships, to drive both employer adoption of the Stream service and deep user engagement within the Stream app.
Commercial Leadership & Performance:
- Drive proactive new business opportunities through partners. This includes personally leading complex commercial negotiations, deal structuring, and ensuring our team directly drives partner-originated demos and closed deals for the sales team.
- Establish clear KPIs and robust reporting mechanisms to track partner performance, pipeline contribution (sourced and influenced), revenue attribution, and employee adoption rates from partner channels.
- While initially highly hands-on, you will provide strategic direction and oversight to the partner team, ensuring maximum activation and acceleration within existing and new channel partners.
Cross-Functional GTM & Enablement:
- Collaborate closely with internal marketing, product, and sales teams to develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies with partners. Ensure partners are fully equipped and motivated to position and sell Stream effectively.
- Work seamlessly with our US partnerships team, client success, product, and engineering teams to ensure global alignment, seamless integration roadmaps, and optimal client experience.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a strategic hunter and builder with a proven ability to operate at both the C-suite and granular execution levels.
- Extensive Partnerships Experience: Proven, progressive experience (likely 10+ years) in strategic partnerships, alliances, or business development within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
- HCM Ecosystem Expertise (Crucial): Significant experience and established connections within the HR, Payroll, WFM, and Human Capital Management (HCM) ecosystems in the UK.
- Platform Alliance Network (Preference): Direct experience working for or closely with Sage, Oracle, or SAP on platform integrations or strategic alliances is a strong advantage.
- Business Development Acumen: A demonstrable track record of building substantial pipeline, hunting for complex, large-scale opportunities, selling to C-suite, and driving deals to closure through partner channels.
- Strategic & Commercial Mindset: Exceptional analytical ability to develop robust business cases and structure commercially viable partnerships that deliver mutual value and drive market share.
- Hands-on Builder: A proactive, self-starter who is excited by the mandate to build the function’s strategy, processes, and playbooks from the ground up.
