Andrew Rea’s Post

Reminder that we're hiring aggressively at Taxwire.com. We're growing quickly, have already hired some of the most talented tax SMEs and engineers in the sales tax domain. People like Graham Martin, Marissa Chu, Ahmet Novalić, and many others. (some new banger hires being announced soon). 👀 Open roles include: 👇 - Full stack/backend leaning engineers - A design engineer - A Head of Growth (will work very closely with me) and more Why what we're building matters and what it could mean for you: 👇 - Global sales tax (indirect tax for my tax nerd friends) is deeply complex, not going anywhere, and dominated by ancient players like Aloe Vera. ;) - I lived this pain when implementing Avalara at Ordo to solve marketplace facilitator sales tax (one of, maybe the fastest growing fresh food company in America). I know how complex it can get when you're not dealing with simplest use cases in the world. I also know how stressful it is when sorting out sales tax is the last thing you want to be dealing with. - Our broader team built some of the most successful products in the previous generation of sales tax solutions, including Avalara, Fonoa, Anrok, TaxJar, StripeTax, and more. Some worked at in-house tax teams at large companies or were previously accountants. - We're not just building a slightly better sales tax SaaS tool. (though yes, this is part of where you start). - On a long enough time scale, we believe that sales tax compliance will be cheaper, easier, and risk-free to tax payers (minus committing fraud lol) across the world. - To get there, we're vertically integrating everything that goes into global transaction taxes from end to -end: including monitoring nexus, registrations, rooftop precise calculations, automated filings/remittance, use tax, reconciliation, representation, audit defense, managed services, and much more. - Our path to making this reality started with completely re-building and re-designing an AI-native tax engine from the ground up. This hasn't been done successfully in such a complete way since Sabrix in the early 2000s. (acquired by Thompson Reuters). - Frankly, we've got so much to do to get there. We're not perfect. We have a long way to go and much to build to achieve our end state. But the end game is clear. - We love our customers. Their trust is everything. This is a detail-oriented domain. We obsess over getting the small things right. - Our team is playing to win. Not just next month. Not just this year. But for the next 10 years. --- We're not changing the world at Taxwire. Not the way some companies are at least. Saying that is cringe to me. But we are solving an important problem for wholesome customers that we love. If we win, we'll have done a lot of good for our customers, for governments, and for our team. It's my personal goal to create hundreds of millionaires from the success of Taxwire. If any of this sounds exciting to you, pls reach out.

Taxwire’s customers, product, service, team, and culture are unmatched 😍! When work doesn’t feel like work 💯. Aloe 👋🏻Come through and join us 💚🚀🍗💻
