Role Overview

Ctruh is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented 3D Generalist to build immersive, high-performance assets for AR, VR, and XR experiences. In this role, you will work at the intersection of design, technology, and storytellingcreating real-time optimized 3D assets that power next-generation digital experiences.

Working closely with product, design, and engineering teams, you will take ownership of the end-to-end 3D asset pipeline, from concept to deployment. This role requires a strong balance of visual quality, performance optimization, and technical execution, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, product-driven startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End 3D Asset Creation
  
  

Design and develop high-quality 3D models, environments, and props for AR/VR/XR platforms

Handle the complete pipeline: modeling, UV mapping, texturing, lighting, and rendering

Ensure assets meet both aesthetic and functional requirements

• Real-Time Optimization & Performance
  
  

Optimize assets for real-time rendering across web and XR platforms

Maintain efficient topology, low-poly structures, and optimized textures

Ensure smooth performance across devices without compromising visual fidelity

• Material & Texture Development
  
  

Create physically-based rendering (PBR) materials using industry-standard workflows

Develop high-quality textures using tools like Substance Painter and Photoshop

Maintain consistency in materials across different assets and scenes

• Scene Setup & Lighting
  
  

Build immersive environments with strong lighting, composition, and visual storytelling

Set up scenes optimized for real-time engines such as Unreal Engine

Ensure visual consistency across projects and platforms

• Asset Export & Pipeline Management
  
  

Export and manage assets in .glb/.gltf formats for web and XR compatibility

Maintain structured asset libraries and version control practices

Ensure seamless integration with development pipelines

• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  
  

Work closely with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver integrated experiences

Translate creative concepts into technically feasible 3D assets

Support developers in integrating assets into interactive environments

What Were Looking For

• Must-Have Skills & Experience
  
  

3+ years of experience as a 3D Generalist or similar role

Strong Proficiency In

Blender

Substance Painter

Adobe Photoshop

Unreal Engine (basic to intermediate)

Solid Understanding Of

PBR workflows

Real-time rendering and optimization

Lighting, composition, and scene design

Hands-on experience with .glb/.gltf workflows

Ability to independently manage the end-to-end 3D asset lifecycle

• Highly Desirable
  
  

Experience working with WebXR, AR, or VR platforms

Basic knowledge of animation workflows (rigging, keyframes, interactions)

Familiarity with interactive 3D pipelines and real-time engines

Experience in product visualization, e-commerce, or virtual environments

Understanding of performance constraints across browsers and devices
