Why This Role Exists

We believe the Travel Manager has never been more important than they are today.

AI, cost pressures, efficiency requirements, and sustainability are reshaping the role. Travel leaders are being asked to operate as strategic partners, but they’ve lacked the tools, skills, confidence, and peer networks to lead that shift.

Our growth strategy reflects that belief:

This role exists to help build that engine, starting with community and live experiences.

Role Overview

This is a growth role, but not a traditional one.

You’ll work closely with founders to design, build, and run the growth channels we already know work, then help turn them into repeatable systems. You’ll also partner closely with Sales to drive the pipeline, with shared ownership of outcomes.

Community and events are the non-negotiable core of this role. Everything else should reinforce these engines.

Founders are deeply involved in the community and events and will partner directly with you on programming, presence, and strategy.

What You’ll Own

Community

You’ll help design and evolve Clarasight’s community as a core driver of trust and demand.

You will:

  • Shape the purpose and direction of the community

  • Design experiences that help Travel Managers stay relevant in an AI-driven world

  • Build a repeatable cadence of sessions, workshops, and peer connections

  • Partner with founders to maintain quality as the community grows

This is about relevance and impact, not scale for scale’s sake.


Live Events

You’ll help define how Clarasight shows up in person.

You will:

  • Decide which events matter and what success looks like

  • Design in-person moments that feel intentional, not transactional

  • Turn events into momentum through preparation, presence, and follow-up
    Develop judgment around ROI in a relationship-driven market

Who You Are

  • You’ve helped scale something before and now want to build and own from the ground up

  • You’ve been a strong #2 and are ready for a clear ownership role

  • Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information

  • Thoughtful, curious, and opinionated, with good judgment and taste

  • Drawn to community, events, and relationship-driven growth

  • Energized by small teams, fast feedback, and visible impact

  • Willing to travel and be in the room where trust is built

  • Curious about new AI tools and comfortable learning and experimenting in public

  • Excited to travel ~25% of the time


Backgrounds that could fit well:

  • Early-stage startup growth or marketing

  • Passionate and active member of the travel community

  • Community or events roles with real responsibility

  • Consulting, operations, or generalist roles with external exposure
