Data Analyst
Clarasight
About Us
Join us in building the leading AI-Powered Mission Control for Corporate Travel. Some of the world's most recognizable companies, representing over $4T in market value, rely on Clarasight's software to reduce risks, save costs, protect revenues, and manage emissions aligned with business objectives and sustainability goals.
About You
You are an analyst at heart — curious, detail-oriented, and motivated by turning messy, complex data into insight that actually drives decisions. You thrive in fast-moving environments where ownership and pragmatism matter more than polish. You don't just go along for the ride — you act as a driver, not a passenger, taking initiative and shaping outcomes rather than waiting for direction.
You're comfortable with imperfect data, quick to find the signal in the noise, and skilled at explaining what you found to people who weren't in the spreadsheet with you. You want to be part of a small team where your contributions have outsized influence.
About the Role
We are seeking a Business Travel Data Analyst to join our founding team. As one of our first analytical hires, you'll help shape both our customer insight capability and our data culture. This is not a back-office reporting role — you will work directly with customer data across the full lifecycle, from early prospect conversations through implementation, optimization, and ongoing execution.
Your work underpins how Clarasight engages with customers, builds trust in its technology, and accelerates time-to-value. You'll collaborate closely with Principals and product teams, move quickly to meet customer demands, and help define the analytical foundations that will scale with us.
Key Responsibilities
Travel Data Analysis & Insight - Analyze large, complex corporate travel datasets across TMC, card, expense, supplier, and emissions data. Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities across cost, compliance, and behaviour, and translate findings into insights that can be acted on — not just reported.
Data Validation & Quality - Validate data sources, transformations, and outputs for accuracy and consistency. Investigate discrepancies between reported data and real-world travel behaviour, communicate data limitations clearly, and oversee customer data QA from source through delivery.
AI Support & Human Oversight - Validate and monitor AI-generated insights, identify where outputs require human review, and help define guardrails for where AI can and cannot act autonomously. Ensure responsible handling of sensitive customer and traveller data.
Cross-Business Enablement - Support prospect and customer conversations with fast, credible analysis. Help accelerate customer time-to-value, support Principals with reliable insight for execution, and feed recurring data challenges back into product improvements.
You'll Be a Great Fit If You…
Have experience as an analyst with direct exposure to corporate travel, expense, or supplier data.
Have strong SQL skills and can explore and validate datasets independently.
Are comfortable working with imperfect, incomplete, and messy data.
Can explain data clearly to non-technical audiences.
Are detail-oriented, pragmatic, and focused on usefulness over polish.
Thrive in fast-paced, early-stage startup environments.
Nice to Haves
Experience working alongside AI systems and applying human judgment to automated outputs.
Background in emissions, sustainability, or carbon accounting for travel.
Familiarity with TMC reporting platforms or OBT data structures.
Experience supporting customer implementations or pre-sales data analysis.
