About Auxilius

Auxilius builds clinical trial financial management software that helps drug companies take control over trial costs, manage financial risk, and optimize R&D spend. We provide data, context, and frameworks that empower teams to bring drugs to market faster and more cost-effectively.

With 100+ customers relying on our platform today, we're at an exciting inflection point where thoughtful product decisions have real impact, and the ability to quickly translate customer needs into intuitive scalable solutions can unlock massive market opportunity.

The Role

We're looking for a Product Manager to own the data moat end to end: how external data gets into Auxilius, how we model and connect it once it's in, and how users query it and act on it.

Auxilius wins on data. The more sources we connect and the better we model what lands, the more we can do for sponsors that no one else can. You'll work across three pillars: Integrations, Data Platform, and Activation + AI, and you'll be expected to move fluidly between driving our integration roadmap, partnering on our data warehouse, and shaping how AI features surface value back to users.

Why This Matters

The life sciences industry spends $250-300 billion annually on clinical R&D, yet outcomes remain stubbornly poor. Even when the science works—when the data shows promise—trials rarely finish on time or on budget. The cost of drug development has risen relentlessly for decades (Eroom's Law), and the industry has accepted this as inevitable.

We don't.

At Auxilius, we believe science matters, but trial outcomes depend on more than science alone. We believe sponsors deserve tools built to handle the complexity of clinical trials, and that while science is inherently unpredictable, budgets don't need to be. We're building software that proves biotechs can bring drugs to market quickly and cost-effectively—it just takes the right tools.

This is your chance to own the data foundation the rest of the company builds on, at a stage where what you build will define the company—and help reshape an entire industry's approach to R&D efficiency.

What You'll Do

Integrations

  • Own how external data flows into Auxilius
  • Drive our integration roadmap, including consolidating and optimizing ERP, EDC, CTMS, TMF, and FP&A system integrations, expanding depth so sponsors feel natively connected
  • Scope each new integration, partner with engineering to build it, and manage delivery end-to-end
  • Communicate timelines and manage work stream directly with Sponsor’s IT and technical teams as part of initial integration build during customer implementation

Data Platform

  • PM our internal data strategy for our data warehouse
  • Partner with engineering to optimize a canonical, well-modeled data layer that everything else sits on top of
  • Treat this as the foundation the rest of the platform and our AI features depend on, and prioritize accordingly
  • Own our strategy for exposing that data and making it available across the product, not just landing it cleanly

Activation + AI

  • Own how users get value back out of their data through benchmarks, analytics, dashboards, and other in-product surfaces that turn the underlying data into insights users can act on
  • Drive AI features in the product and the AI implementations that sit on the data foundation, with direction from leadership on the broader AI strategy
  • Own and expand our dashboarding and analytics tooling
  • Extend into benchmarking tools over time as a natural extension of this pillar

Drive Excellence in Execution and Communication

  • Lead major feature execution, anticipating dependencies and managing risk
  • Craft clear narratives that connect customer problems to solutions, tailoring your message to different audiences (internal, external) and contexts. Produce PRDs, Feature Briefs, and Tickets that are thoughtful, clear, and compelling.
  • Present roadmaps to leadership and build exec-ready narratives that persuade through data and customer stories
  • Balance trade-offs between speed and scalability, partnering closely with engineering on technical decisions
  • Approach data work with a commercial mindset: a data asset is only as valuable as the end-use case it serves for a customer or user, and you start from that end state rather than treating the data itself as the goal

Elevate Product Practice and Mentor Others

  • Bring excellence in product craft and help level up the team's product thinking through mentoring and best-practice sharing
  • Improve team processes by optimizing rituals, identifying bottlenecks, and raising the bar on execution

Who Are You?

You're a builder who gets energized by complex problems. You enjoy digging into messy datasets, understanding intricate systems, and figuring out how to make complicated things feel simple. You understand that in domains like finance and accounting, "pretty good" isn't good enough - accuracy, trust, and attention to detail are table stakes.

You think natively in data: what a canonical model should look like, what breaks when a schema is inconsistent across customers, and how to sequence integration work so today's fixes don't become tomorrow's technical debt. You're comfortable owning a roadmap that spans external integrations, internal data infrastructure, and user-facing AI features, and you know how to sequence across all three without losing the thread on any of them.

You're a student of your craft. You bring best practices, modern methods, and high standards to everything you build, while considering speed. You are pragmatic and would rather ship something good and iterate than wait for perfect. You know when to zoom in on details and when to zoom out to see the bigger picture.

Most importantly, you're driven by impact. You want to build products that fundamentally change how an industry works.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 5+ years of product management experience in B2B or enterprise SaaS, with a proven track record of leading product areas end-to-end
  • Experience building enterprise-grade products in a startup or growth-stage environment, where you've had to balance enterprise requirements (reliability, auditability, scalability) with startup constraints (small team, fast iteration, limited resources)
  • Direct experience owning integrations or data ingestion products: scoping external data sources, partnering with engineering on API or file-based integrations, and managing delivery
  • Strong mental model for data platforms: comfortable thinking about canonical data modeling, schema design, and standardization across messy, heterogeneous sources
  • Demonstrated ability to shape product strategy, synthesize insights from multiple sources, and translate them into clear roadmaps
  • Comfortable speaking directly with customer technical teams and stakeholders, including sponsor IT, to scope integrations and manage delivery
  • Experience leading discovery independently, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and managing ambiguity
  • Comfortable enough in data concepts to have real conversations with data engineers about modeling trade-offs, without needing to write the queries yourself
  • Excellence in product craft with proven ability to mentor and elevate team capabilities—you bring formal training or deep knowledge of modern methods and can teach, not just execute
  • Strong communication skills. Can craft compelling narratives, present to leadership, and explain complex technical workflows clearly

Strong Plus

  • Experience building AI-powered features on top of a data platform (querying, summarization, benchmarking)
  • Experience with clinical trial systems (EDC, CTMS, TMF) or ERP/finance systems integrations
  • Multi-product or platform experience where you've advocated for architectural decisions and platform thinking
  • Familiarity with healthcare or life sciences industries
  • Experience building products where accuracy, auditability, and user trust are critical
  • Can build deep enough product knowledge to play a technical sales or SME role - can demo products, handle objections, and speak credibly about capabilities in customer/prospect conversations
